POLA ASUH REMAJA MENJADI BENTENG TERHADAP PENYALAHGUNAAN NARKOBA
Mencegah lebih baik daripada mengobati
Abstract
Pendahuluan
Remaja di Indonesia yang berumur 10 sampai 24 tahun berjumlah 63.443.448 jiwa, atau 27,6% dari 237,6 Juta jiwa penduduk Indonesia (Sensus Penduduk tahun 2010). Dengan jumlah remaja yang begitu besar, di Indonesia diharapkan pada sekitar tahun 2025 hingga 2030 yang akan datang, akan terjadi Bonus Demografi, yang ditandai dengan banyaknya Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) produktif yang akan melanjutkan tugas dan tanggung jawab pembangunan dari generasi sebelumnya. Ironisnya saat ini, banyak remaja di Indonesia yang bermasalah, dari yang ringan hingga berat, seperti periku seks bebas, geng motor, perkelahian, bahkan yang teraktual dan paling marak hingga saat ini, adalah penyalahgunaan narkoba.
Data dari Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) tahun 2012, menyebutkan bahwa jumlah tersangka penyalahgunaan Narkoba di Indonesia adalah 32.743 jiwa. Remaja dengan rentang usia 16 sampai 19 tahun, berjumlah 1.944 jiwa dan Remaja dengan rentang usia 20 sampai 24 tahun berjumlah 5.057 jiwa.
Penyalahgunaan narkoba pada remaja seperti di atas, penulis asumsikan baru pada persoalan hilir dari terjadinya permasalahan remaja. Adapun persoalan hulu, yang harus lebih menjadi perhatian adalah, salah satunya tentang Pola Asuh Remaja dalam keluarga. Karena itu, dengan pola asuh yang baik dari usia dini hingga masa remaja, diharapkan dapat menjadi benteng terhadap penyalahgunaan narkoba. Hal ini juga dipertegas oleh Gories Mere (2011), yang menyebutkan bahwa makin dini usia anak mulai menyalahgunakan narkoba, makin sulit penanggulangannya. Karena itu “mencegah lebih baik daripada mengobati”
