Enhancement of Family Attitudes About Post-Stroke Treatment After Given Intervention Health Education

Latar belakang: Penderita stroke dari tahun ke tahun semakin meningkat dan merupakan penyebab kematian peringkat kedua di dunia. Sikap keluarga tentang perawatan pasien pasca stroke sangat berpengaruh terhadap kesehatan pasien pasca stroke.
Tujuan penelitian: Mengidentifikasi pengaruh health education terhadap peningkatan sikap keluarga tentang perawatan pasca stroke.
Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian quasi experiment dengan rancangan Pre test and post test nonequivalent kontrol group. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh keluarga yang memiliki anggota keluarga pasca stroke yang tercatat di Home care Cahaya Husada Kaltim. Penentuan sampel berdasarkan kriteria inklusi sampai jumlah sampel minimal terpenuhi. Sampel dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol. Jumlah sampel setiap kelompok 30 responden. Pre test dilakukan sebelum intervensi kemudian setelah intervensi dilakukan post test. Data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji paired sample t-test.
Hasil: Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa health education memiliki sumbangsi sebesar 92,74% terhadap peningkatan sikap keluarga tentang perawatan pasca stroke dengan nilai p value = 0,000 <0,05 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan sikap responden sebelum dan setelah diberikan health education.
Kesimpulan: terjadi peningkatan sikap keluarga tentang perawatan pasca stroke setelah diberikan intervensi health education.
