Abstract
Kepuasan kerja (job satisfaction) merupakan sasaran penting dalam manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia(SDM), karena secara langsung maupun tidak langsung akan berpengaruhterhadap produktifitas kerja. Ostroff menyatakan bahwa organisasi-organisasi yang memiliki lebih banyak karyawan yang puas cenderung menjadi lebihefektif dibandingkan dengan organisasi-organisasi yang memiliki lebihsedikit jumlah pegawai yang puas. Seorang karyawan akan memberikan pelayanan dengan sepenuh hatinya kepada organisasisangattergantung pada apa yang dirasakan karyawan itu terhadap pekerjaan,rekan kerja, dan supervisor. Perasaan dan kepuasan karyawan mempengaruhi perkembangan pola interaksi rutin. Kepuasan dan sikap karyawan merupakan faktor penting dalam menentukan tingkah laku dan respon mereka terhadap pekerjaan dan melalui tingkah laku serta respon inilah dapat dicapai efektifitas organisasional
